Abu Obaida: We targeted 60 Israeli military vehicles, including 10 troop carriers, during the last three days
Abu Obaida, spokesman of al Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Hamas movement, said on Monday that al Qassam Brigades fighters were able to target 60 Israeli military vehicles, including 10 troop carriers, during the last three days in the Gaza Strip.
This came in a video in which he said, “The clashes are still fierce with the Israeli enemy forces in several areas in the Gaza Strip, stressing that they had carried out a number of specific operations against the enemy forces in the areas of its advance, which caused direct deaths among its soldiers”.
He added, “Our mujahideen were able to target 60 Zionist military vehicles during these three days, including 10 troop carriers, in the enemy’s advance axes south of the al Zaytoun neighborhood (south of Gaza City), in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood and the al Tawam neighborhood, west of the Jabalia camp, and in Beit Lahia (north of the Strip)”.
Abu Obaida said, “One of our most prominent operations was an ambush against foot forces southwest of Gaza City last Saturday, where our mujahideen targeted a foot force followed by a Zionist bulldozer with anti-personnel devices, causing certain injuries and hearing the screams of enemy soldiers and their calls for help”.
He continued, “We believe that the enemy bombed its forces on the ground, thinking that a number of its soldiers had been captured in an operation we carried out against a troop carrier in Gaza City”.
He explained, “In many cases in areas of conflict, when the enemy is unable to withdraw his destroyed or damaged vehicles, he bombs them from the air in an attempt to erase the traces of his disappointment”.
He added, “Hundreds of our mujahideen are still in defensive combat positions, especially in all defense and response areas… They carried out many operations that we will reveal later when appropriate security and field conditions are in place”.
Abu Obaida concluded his speech by saying, “The hysterical state with which the enemy deals with its crimes against our people is an indication of its lack of conviction in victory”.
