A Russian Su-30 fighter jet took off on Friday to intercept three US spy planes over the international waters of the Black Sea, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

According to the statement, it was revealed, Friday, June 26, that US spy planes carry out missions over the international waters of the Black Sea, before being escorted by the Russian fighter.

The statement indicated that the Su-30 fighter jet took off to intercept the targets, and its crew determined the quality of the US aircraft as a P-8A “Poseidon” patrol plane, the strategic reconnaissance plane RC-135 and the KC-135 refueling plane.

The statement said that the three US planes changed their track away from the Russian border.
