A Russia makeover: Bolton explains what kind of Russia the United States wants
The Former White House National Security Adviser John Bolton said the United States needs Russia so that it is fit to join NATO.
“The strategic objective that Washington seeks to achieve is to have Russia close to the West,” Bolton wrote at 19fortyfive.com.
Bolton explained that, “A suitable Russia candidate to join NATO, which we hoped for after the collapse of the Soviet Union”.
Bolton had previously admitted to being behind coups in a number of countries, and had talked about changing power in Russia, and had offered to provide assistance to Russian dissidents, and those in his opinion should convince officials in power to change the regime.
According to Bolton, “the desired outcome is… a transitional government that will remain neutral until a new constitution is formed”.
An official statements issued by the White House have repeatedly confirmed that there are no intentions to change power in Russia.
Last March, when US President Joe Biden said that the Russian leader “cannot remain in power,” Washington made it clear that Biden didn’t mean to change power in the Russian Federation.
