The director of the Pentagon’s Missile Defense Agency, General Heath Collins, announced that the United States would need years to replenish its stockpiles of ammunition used in a war against Iran.

“We’re building weapons every day to recover them, but recovery will take several years,” Collins said during a hearing in the US House of Representatives on Wednesday.

The general added that the Pentagon cannot currently determine exactly how many years it will take to restore the stockpiles.

American reports previously stated that US forces launched 850 Tomahawk missiles at targets in Iran during the first month of the operation, and used more than 2,000 missiles during the first weeks to intercept missiles and drones launched by Iran.
