US President Donald Trump announced airstrikes targeting three major nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

The announcement was made on his Truth Social in the early hours of Sunday morning, Iranian time, where he confirmed the complete success of the military operation, saying, “We carried out a precise and powerful attack on all three nuclear sites, and all aircraft successfully withdrew from Iranian airspace”.

Trump noted that the main facility at Fordo was bombed intensively using a full bomb load, confirming that all aircraft returned safely to their bases.

He congratulated the US forces on the success of the mission, adding, “No other military force in the world could have executed this operation with such efficiency”.

He concluded his remarks by saying, “The time for peace is now, and thank you to everyone who followed this event”.

Iranian state television confirmed an attack on the Fordo facility, the first official acknowledgment of the bombing.

This was preceded by Trump’s repeated announcements of the possibility of the United States joining Israel in a joint military campaign against Iran.

Trump posted a video on Truth Social in which he confirmed his threat to carry out strikes within the next two weeks, commenting, “Only time will tell what’s next”.

In the context of the escalation, Trump previously set a two-week deadline to decide on a potential strike on Iran, announcing that he may make his decision before the deadline.

Analysts believe that US B-2 bombers equipped with GBU-57 heavy bunker-buster bombs would likely be used, particularly to target the Fordow facility.

Israel doesn’t possess these weapons, making US support essential for such a mission.

The US President declared that the strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities were “completely successful,” stressing, “the targets that were hit were among the most difficult to achieve, and were completely destroyed in a precise military operation”.

In his speech, Trump sent a stern message to Iran, saying, “We still have many targets, and if Iran doesn’t seek peace now, the strikes that will come will be much harder and wider,” adding that “Iran has two choices: either peace or tragedy”.

He indicated that the strikes targeted nuclear facilities in Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan, stressing that they were carried out with precision to end Iran’s ability to enrich uranium and prevent any future nuclear threat.

Trump concluded his statement by indicating that the US Department of Defense, the Pentagon, will later reveal additional details about the military operation in an upcoming press conference.
