The Israeli army claims to have completely destroyed Iran’s Tabriz base
The Israeli army claimed on Friday that it had completely destroyed the Tabriz air base in western Iran.
In a statement, the Israeli military said it attacked Iranian Air Force military bases across western Iran, specifically Hamadan and Tabriz, the latter of which was completely destroyed as a result of the attack.
The statement claimed to have destroyed dozens of targets in the Iranian regime’s air defense system, including drones and surface-to-surface missile launchers.
Media reports on Friday indicated that US forces provided support to Israel in intercepting missiles launched by Iran in response to recent Israeli attacks.
According to Axios website who quoted an unnamed Israeli official as saying that US forces in the region have participated in supporting Israeli air defenses against Iranian missile attacks, without disclosing the nature or details of the contribution.
In a separate confirmation, a US official, said that US forces assisted Israel in intercepting Iranian missiles, without providing further details about the nature of this support or the methods used.
Earlier on Friday, the United States announced the redeployment of some of its forces and military equipment near Israel, with the aim of strengthening air defenses and helping protect its bases in the region.
For his part, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied that any American personnel participated in the strikes carried out by Israel against targets inside Iran.
