CNN: The Trump administration has dramatically cut funding for the Syrian Civil Defense
The administration of US President Donald Trump has cut most of its funding for the Syrian White Helmets, CNN reported.
According to the report, the administration has completely halted the transfer of funds to the organization through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), resulting in a deduction of approximately $30 million from its operating budget.
However, the organization’s contract with the US State Department remains in effect, allowing it to receive only $1.4 million, a small amount compared to the financial support it previously received.
