Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, Sheikh Naim Qassem, said in a speech on Saturday evening that Israel had destroyed all the capabilities of the Syrian army under various pretexts, and this is evidence of the expansionist decision.

Naim Qassem added that Israel wants to expand into all Arab countries.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah stated that it’s important to conduct an in-depth reading after this major development in the region.

He pointed out in his speech that Hezbollah has lost its military supply route at this stage, but this is a detail, so we can look for other ways.

Regarding the governance in Syria, Naim Qassem stated that “we cannot judge the new forces in Syria until they stabilize, take clear positions, and their situation becomes regulated”.

He said he hoped the new rulers in Syria would view Israel as an enemy.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah also wished for cooperation between the peoples and governments of Syria and Lebanon in the future.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem stressed on Saturday that supporting Gaza was a noble and noble act, and it’s a duty upon us and upon all Arabs and Muslims.

In his televised speech, he pointed out that “Hezbollah expected an Israeli aggression to occur at any moment, but we didn’t know the exact timing, so the aggression was in September, and this has nothing to do with supporting Gaza, but rather with the Israeli expansionist project”.

Sheikh Qassem added that the Israeli enemy was able to assassinate “Hezbollah leaders, headed by His Eminence the Martyr Sayyed, and committed its brutal crimes against civilians, but it was unable to break the den of the resistance, as the Mujahideen were able to hurt the enemy, fight it, injure hundreds of its soldiers, and prevent it from achieving its goal of breaking the resistance”.

Sheikh Naim Qassem spoke about three factors of strength and steadfastness that made us victorious; the first is the legendary steadfastness of the resistance fighters in the field, the second factor is the blood of the martyrs, headed by the blood of Sayyed Nasrallah, and the third factor is the integrated and effective political management with the management of the first brave resistance.

Regarding the ongoing Israeli violations, Sheikh Qassem considered that the Lebanese government and the committee concerned with following up on the agreement bear the responsibility for following up on those violations.

He said, “the resistance had endured during this period hundreds of Israeli violations in order to help implement the agreement, expose the enemy, and hold all concerned accountable”.

He stressed, “the necessity of continuing the resistance that prevented the enemy, with its army and people, from expanding into Lebanon”.

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah set the party’s work program for the coming period, which consists of 5 points as follows: implementing the agreement in the south of the Litani River, reconstruction, electing a president for the Lebanese Republic, positive dialogue on problematic issues, including, “What is Lebanon’s position on the Israeli occupation of its land? How do we strengthen the Lebanese army? In addition to the nature of the Lebanese defense strategy”.

Regarding the recent events in Syria, Sheikh Qassem stressed that Hezbollah supported Syria because it’s in a hostile position towards Israel, and contributed to strengthening the capabilities of the resistance across its territory to Lebanon and Palestine.

He added that the new forces can only be judged when they stabilize, take clear positions, and the regime’s situation in Syria is regulated.

He stressed the flexibility of the resistance, which doesn’t stop at a certain limit, and is capable of replacing methods and ways in order to ensure its continuity.

He added, “The resistance must adapt to circumstances to strengthen its capabilities, and the important thing is to remain persistent and work to address its requirements in different ways”.

Qassem continued, “We don’t believe that what is happening in Syria will affect Lebanon, but rather the opposite,” noting that “the general situation in the region is generally stressful, and that America and Israel control many paths in the region”.
