The Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump sparked outrage after telling Christians, “You don’t need to vote anymore,” if he is re-elected president of the United States on November.

At a campaign event for conservative Christians in Florida on Friday night, Trump, (78), called on American citizens to vote in the November 5 presidential election, claiming it would be necessary and only once.

Trump said, “Christians, come out and vote! Just this time… You don’t need to do this anymore… Four more years, you know… Everything will be fine… You won’t need to vote anymore, wonderful Christians”.

But it remains unclear what exactly Trump meant, the former president is always controversial during the election campaign, leaving room for intentional interpretation.

The campaign of his political rival, Democrat Kamala Harris, saw Trump’s statement as an indication that he was seeking to abolish democracy if he returned to the White House.

Harris’ campaign spokesman said, “When Vice President Harris says this election is about freedom, she means it”.

“Our democracy is under attack by the criminal Donald Trump: After the last election Trump lost, he sent the mob to overturn the results… In this campaign, he promised violence if he lost, the end of our elections if he wins, and the termination of the Constitution to enable him to be a dictator to impose his dangerous Project 2025 agenda on America”.
