Israeli Minister: Israel is losing the war with Hamas in Gaza
Extremist Israeli Minister Gideon Sa’ar accused the Israeli Cabinet of mismanaging the war on Gaza, indicating that Israel is losing the war with Hamas.
In an interview with Israeli Channel 12, Sa’ar referred to amendments in the military attack on the Gaza Strip.
He said, “Day after day we are moving away from victory over Hamas… We should have entered the Rafah crossing a long time ago… There is no organized plan, according to what I understand, to destroy Hamas’ military and governmental capabilities, and there is no control over the entry of humanitarian aid”.
Sa’ar said he gave Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu an ultimatum, “If I don’t enter the war cabinet within a few days, I will resign”.
He further explained, “I said I would stay in the government as long as I could influence in the right direction… I want an opportunity to try to make an impact… Outside the War Cabinet, I cannot influence”.
A senior Israeli official confirmed that Washington has begun delaying some military aid and that Israel may lose the war with Hamas.
According to the Israeli writer, Yuval Noah Harari, Hamas’s political goals are quite clear and some of them have already been achieved, while in Israel they are vague to non-existent.
Yuval Harari said in an article on Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, “The bottom line; Without a political horizon, Hamas will defeat us”.
