A group called “Saraya Qasioun” claims responsibility for the Damascus attack

A group known as Saraya Qasioun has claimed responsibility for an attack on a military bus in Damascus on Wednesday that killed at least 14 people.

The organization said in a statement that it was able to target the bus belonging to the military housing in the Ministry of Defense with explosive devices planted under the bus in the center of the capital, Damascus, killing 14 members and wounding others.

“Saraya Qasioun” pledged to continue its “qualitative operations” within government-controlled areas in response to what it described as “the daily massacres committed by the regime and its militias”.

The organization published a picture of the bus before and after it was targeted, but it did not publish scenes of the moment of the explosion, as is the norm for the factions that adopt similar actions.
