Israeli media confirmed, Friday, that despite the joy over the return of the prisoners, the ceasefire caused damage to the military battle, after the offensive momentum stopped.

The military correspondent for the Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper, Yossi Yehoshua, wrote on X, “Israel didn’t act in return in Khan Yunis… Undermining Hamas is now in danger”.

He pointed out that the Americans and Egyptians in Rafah are demanding restricting military actions in the southern Gaza Strip, stressing that the war may end without a big deal, and without undermining Hamas.

In turn, the head of Yedioth Ahronoth’s Arab Affairs Department, Elior Levy, warned that the Israeli army didn’t talk about resuming ground maneuvers, and is only carrying out air attacks, indicating that this aims to practice Violent pressure on Hamas to hand over the list of those released in exchange for a new ceasefire, pointing out at the same time that it’s easy to stop attacks from the air.

Levy said, “It’s not certain that this plan will succeed”.

In this context, Alon Avitar, an analyst for Arab affairs at Yedioth Ahronoth, stated that the range of the rockets fired by Hamas is limited, indicating that it intends this, and considers it a kind of pressure on Israel to return to the ceasefire.

Avitar added that Hamas will fire rockets to greater ranges if it reaches a dead end.

With the end of the truce period, on Friday morning, Israeli occupation aircraft launched a series of raids targeting the Gaza Strip, which led to many martyrs and wounded.
