Yedioth Ahronoth: The Israeli army admits for the first time since the war on Gaza started the significant shortage of tanks and armored vehicles
The Israeli army admitted that there was a significant shortage of tanks and armored vehicles due to their damage in the fierce battles that its soldiers fought with the Palestinian factions led by Hamas in Gaza.
Yedioth Ahronoth said that the IDF postponed training for female soldiers in the ground forces because of a significant shortage of tanks damaged by the war as well as a shortage of weapons.
The Israeli newspaper added that the chief of staff of the IDF decided to postpone training to integrate female soldiers into the ground forces until November next year, due to a shortage of weapons and tanks damaged by the ongoing long war.
According to Yedioth Ahronoth, it’s the first time that the Israeli army admits that it lost many tanks in Gaza, as well as acknowledging the existence of a shortage of shells, soldiers and officers who were wounded or killed in the war.
During the Israeli war on Gaza, the Palestinian factions announced the damage and destruction of hundreds of Israeli tanks in attacks carried out with anti-armor weapons such as Hamas’ al Yassin 105, Kornet, Malyutka and others antitank weapons.
