Washington Post: A Syrian general reveals that Assad personally ordered Austin Tice to be executed after he tried to escape from prison
The Washington post said that, a new information appeared regarding the fate of the America Journalist, Austin Tice, who disappeared in Syria since 2012.
The Washington Post reported on Sunday that Syrian Major General Bassam Hassan was interrogated in Beirut by US intelligence regarding the fate of American journalist.
According to what the former Syrian General told his interrogators, that Assad ordered the execution of American journalist Austin Tice in 2013 shortly after he escaped from his prison cell.
He also said he had tried unsuccessfully to dissuade Assad from carrying out the execution.
Hassan provided the FBI with a description of the location in Damascus where Tice’s remains were found.
