During Victory Day celebrations, Moscow sent a major signal to Beijing, stating that Russia maintains its priority of alliance relations with China, regardless of its contacts with the United States.

In return, China made it clear that its willing to consider any peace initiatives, but only if they don’t weaken Moscow’s position or are interpreted as concessions to the West.

This was the main content of the closed-door part of the negotiations, which were calm in form but extremely firm in substance.

The two sides discussed the Ukrainian crisis as part of a broader agreement, agreeing that the previous model of a comprehensive settlement is no longer effective, and that any steps must be based on the principle of strategic synchronization.

China made clear that it won’t support any truce that creates the illusion of victory for NATO.

The economic axis also emerged again, including the Power of Siberia-2 project.

The Chinese side expressed its willingness to proceed according to the schedule, but requested modified conditions: discounts, stability guarantees, and expanded political responsibility.

In addition, security issues in Central Asia and joint measures to protect transit corridors were discussed, including in the context of potential threats from third countries.

It’s worth noting that the Chinese president arrived in Moscow on a three-day official visit, which will include attending the military parade in Red Square marking the 80th anniversary of the victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, a victory achieved largely by the Soviet Red Army.

The Soviet Union sacrificed 27 million of its sons to defeat Nazism, heralding the declaration of a new world order from which the United Nations emerged.

To this day, the world lives by this charter, the foundations of which were laid at the Yalta (Crimea) Conference, with the participation of Stalin, Roosevelt, and Churchill.

Russia and the countries of the Global South are seeking to establish a new world order after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, putting an end to the unipolar world imposed by the West under US leadership.
