US Israeli raids on several locations in Iran

Israel’s Defense Ministry announced on Saturday morning that it had launched a pre-emptive strike on Iran, as sirens sounded in Jerusalem and residents were circulated on their phones of a very dangerous warning.

“The State of Israel launched a pre-emptive strike on Iran with the aim of eliminating the threats it faces,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement, without providing further details on the nature or scope of the military operation.

“As a result, a rocket attack and a drone attack on the State of Israel and its civilian population is expected in the near future,” the statement added, declaring the imposition of “a special and immediate alert throughout the country”.

Two explosions on Saturday morning in Tehran, shortly after two plumes of thick smoke rose in the center and east of the Iranian capital.

Iran has been witnessing an increase in internet outages in conjunction with the US-Israeli attacks, which began on Saturday morning.

Israeli media reported that cyberattacks were carried out against Iran.

The website of Iran’s official news agency IRNA was blocked following a cyberattack.

In Israel, the Ministry of Transportation announced the closure of Israeli airspace to civilian flights, and asked travelers not to go to airports until further notice.

A US official said on Saturday that the United States is participating with Israel in its strikes on Iran.

The Associated Press quoted a US official, who declined to be identified, as confirming Washington’s participation with Israel against Iran.

The New York Times quoted US and Israeli officials as saying that the United States and Israel have jointly carried out attacks against Iran.

Two US officials said that the US has launched strikes on Iran.

One of the officials added that the attacks were still ongoing, noting that the attack won’t be limited or narrow in scope.

An Israeli source as saying that the attack on Iran is directed against regime targets and military sites and that all senior regime leaders are targets.

Iran announced on Saturday that it would close its airspace until further notice, after loud explosions were heard in the capital Tehran, according to a civil aviation official.

Civil Aviation Organization spokesman Majid Akhavan said that the country’s airspace is completely closed until further notice.

The Iraqi Ministry of Transport also announced on Saturday the closure of the country’s airspace against the backdrop of the Israeli aggression against Iran.
