US Biden expresses his deep sadness over the Israeli attack on the Hospital in Gaza

US President Joe Biden expressed on Tuesday his “deep sadness and outraged” over the attack on a Hospital in Gaza.
Biden said in a statement that he “gave directions to his national security team to continue collecting information about exactly what happened”.
Hamas held Israel responsible for the bombing, while the Israeli army attributed the strike to the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement.
On the other hand, US President Joe Biden intends to ask Congress to approve a $100 billion aid package for Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan and to address the migration crisis at the US-Mexico border.
The request, which hasn’t yet been announced by the White House, comes at a time when the work of Congress is still suspended due to the failure to elect a speaker for the House of Representatives, where the majority is in the hands of Republicans.
Bloomberg was the first to report the package that Biden intends to request, which aims to unite the ranks of Democrats, who have been requesting additional aid for Kiev for weeks, and Republicans, who want, above all else, funding to address the migration crisis at the border between the United States and Mexico.
Aware of the dangers of a decline in the resolve of the United States, his greatest ally, the Ukrainian president visited Congress in September in an effort to persuade Washington to help him reach the access line against Russia.
But since then, the United States has been under pressure to support its historical ally, Israel, in its war with Hamas.
On Tuesday, Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer announced that he is working on a major aid package for Israel.
He pointed out that the package would include “military, diplomatic, humanitarian and intelligence support,” expressing his hope that it would be adopted “in the coming weeks”.
The Senate is considering a resolution condemning Hamas and will discuss on Wednesday the confirmation of the new ambassador to Israel in his position.
