Türkiye: Details of the plan that Türkiye will present to Russia during Erdogan’s meeting with Putin

According to the Turkish Türkiye newspaper, a detail of plans that will be discussed during an upcoming meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Iranian counterpart, Ebrahim Raisi, and Russian Vladimir Putin, most notably the city of Aleppo and the military operation in northern Syria.

According to the newspaper, Erdogan will propose to the two leaders to cooperate in a large-scale operation that he plans to implement in Syria after the local elections, declaring that Türkiye’s patience has run out, as Ankara wants to convey the idea that “if you don’t want support, don’t be an obstacle”.

The Türkiye newspaper explained that Ankara will tell the Iranian delegation, abandon support for the PKK elements in Tal Rifaat, while they will ask Russia, which Türkiye considers a shield for the SDF in Ayn al Arab, Manbij, and Ain Issa along the line parallel to the border, about changing the status quo.

According to the newspaper, Türkiye wants to change the conditions in the city of Aleppo after it turned into a Shiite city in order to rebuild it and return millions of civilians to it, while Russia wants to control Idlib, withdraw it from the hands of Hay’at Tahrir al Sham and hand it over to the Syrian government.

Ankara believes that Aleppo has turned into a Shiite city, and wants to return it to its original identity.

According to the information the newspaper obtained from sources in Ankara, the Aleppo file will be the main topic in the Putin-Raisi-Erdogan meetings.

The Turkish demands focus on ending what it called the religious, demographic and cultural occupation of the city, ensuring the return of 3 million Aleppo residents to their homes, and granting the city a special and secure status under the supervision of an international force.
