Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin by telephone with the Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman and his Russian counterpart Sergey Shoygu resulted in a preliminary agreement in which Israel committed itself to support the deployment of the Syrian army along the borders, according to political sources that told the Arabic Al Sharq Al Awsat newspaper that is publishing in London.

Syrian forces will be regaining the entire areas to the borders of the Golan occupied area, in return for the military withdrawal of Iranian forces from Syria.

Russia refused to consider Iran’s military presence in Syria a threat to Israel’s security, but said it «reiterated its understanding of the Israeli demand for the withdrawal of Iranian forces and their supported groups from Syria».

During the talks, the Israelis understood that Russia saw no problem in evacuating a large area in Syria from Iranian forces to Damascus-Suwayda Street (60-70 kilometers) from the border between Israel and Syria in the occupied Golan Heights.

The Israelis believe that the implementation of such a withdrawal needs a short time, and it must be done gradually.

An Israeli military source revealed that Lieberman had committed himself to the Russians that Israel will not interfere nor prevent the return of the Syrian army to the entire Quneitra area and to the other southern plateaus.

During the meeting, maps of this area were presented, in which the Russians explained that the Syrian army would take control of three strategic points there:

1.The border point with Jordan in the south of Daraa.

2.«Tall» Al Hara hill, which is overlooking the Syrian-Israeli border.

3.The town of Busra Al Harir, which is located 30 kilometers north East of Daraa.

The Russians confirmed that a section of the opposition forces would join the Syrian army in the area and asked Israel not to obstruct the mission, although it meant that the opposition have recently faced difficulties to gain more financial and military support from the Jordanian border.

They also demanded that Israel refrain from bombing Syrian forces there, in the event of some missiles falling towards Israel, stressing that «no one wants a war».

So, if Israel get shells from their side then it’s by mistake.

As for the Israeli military activity in Syria, which is the bombing Iranian positions in Syria according to Israeli allegations, the destruction of convoys to the shipment of Iranian weapons to Lebanon in favor of Hezbollah and others, the two sides summed up as saying that they «praised the highest level of security coordination between the leaders of the two armies At the level of the Deputy Chief of Staff) and agreed to continue.

»The Israelis interpreted this as an implicit Russian endorsement of these strikes.

Israeli sources indicated that the Russian-Israeli talks, described as advanced, come under full American cover and that Washington regards them as «progress on the right track».

«They will eventually lead to the removal of the Iranian threat from Syria», sources said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that Iranian advisers and Hezbollah fighters will be withdrawn from the provinces of Daraa and Quneitra near the border with Israel in the occupied Golan Heights area.

And with that being said the United States will abandon the Al Tanf Area, so the Syrian government will take over in exchange of Iranian/Hezbollah withdraw their presence in Southern Syria.
