The Syrian president authorizes Iraq to bomb the sites of the “Islamic State” in Syria without the need to ask Damascus

Iraqi government source revealed on Sunday that Syrian President Bashar Al Assad has authorized Iraq to bomb the sites of the “Islamic State” in Syria without referring to the Syrian authorities.
The “Russia Today” website quoted the source that said “Iraqi air force is able to enter the Syrian territory to bomb the Islamic state sites, without waiting for the approval of the Syrian government, which gave the green light; though, Iraq should only inform the Syrian side”.
Assad received on Saturday a letter from Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi conveyed by the head of the popular crowd Faleh Al Fayadh.
It is noteworthy that the Iraqi air forces announced in the past few days to carry out more than an air strike against the sites of the Islamic state inside the Syrian territory.
Meanwhile the Iraqi popular crowd forces confirmed last week their readiness for any potential threat that could occur with the withdrawal of US forces from Syria”.
US President Donald Trump last week officially announced the withdrawal of the US troops from Syria, saying the decision was made “after historical victories against ISIS”.
Recently, there has been a breakthrough in the Syrian relations in the Arab region, most notably the decision of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the UAE to open their embassies in Damascus and the frequency of news about the possibility of Syria’s return to its seat at the Arab League.
