The Russian move coincides with the announcement of the leader of the Russian Wagner mercenary group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, that Putin may face a popular revolution similar to what happened in 1917, and Russia faces the danger of losing the war in Ukraine, if the elite doesn’t deal seriously with the war, after withdrawing Wagner’s mercenaries from Bakhmut, handing over the positions they controlled to the Russian forces, quoting Prigozhin as warning that the Ukrainian forces are seeking to besiege Bakhmut, and then launch into the Crimea.
The report states that Ukraine is preparing itself and mobilizing its forces to launch a large-scale counterattack, in the coming weeks, and aims to push the Russian forces beyond the border lines in 2014, the year in which Moscow announced the annexation of the Ukrainian Crimea peninsula, and Bergozin notes that this scenario won’t be in the interests of Russia, mostly, so we must prepare ourselves for a difficult war”.
