The former Immigration Minister in Denmark sent a shocking message to the Syrians, asking them to return to Syria and thanking the Danes for what they offered them.

“I was Minister of Foreign Affairs when you came to Denmark, and I know the details of the agreement between us… We protect you during a war in your country, but you have to come back to it when that becomes possible,” former minister Inger Stoyberg said on her Facebook account.

She added: “Now is the time for you to return to your country and rebuild it, so the agreement was, and you are morally committed to fulfilling it, while expressing your gratitude to the people of Denmark and without asking questions or objections.

When you came to Denmark, we made it clear that we expect you to integrate and comply with the rules of this country, and bear Responsibility for yourselves while you are in it, and few of you have succeeded in doing so, and on our part, we did everything we could to help you.

And she continued, “Today, conditions allow you to return to your country again.

I understand that Denmark is more comfortable than Damascus, but Denmark is not your home.

We gave you temporary protection only when you needed it, my dear Syrians”.

And she concluded: “It is time to pack your bags and return to your homeland and rebuild it.

We welcome your sending of thanks to the Danes for what they have done for you.

The Danes deserve that you thank them”.

The former minister was held accountable to the authorities, on charges of misusing her job powers, as she fired a Syrian refugee couple, one of whom was a minor.

Denmark had begun to withdraw the residency of Syrian refugees there, based on reports that made it consider “Damascus safe,” noting that the authorities and organizations to which the information was attributed issued statements confirming that the authorities misused the information, and that Damascus and Syria in general are not safe at all, and that they should not be returned Syrians to it at the present time.

Contrary to what has been said, the Syrian refugees whose residency is withdrawn for this reason will not be subject to direct deportation from Denmark to Syria, as this is not possible due to the lack of relations between Denmark and the regime, and what happens – in theory – after the residency is canceled / withdrawn, is the transfer of refugees.

To the refugees’ deportation centers, in which they will stay until there is a possibility for them to be deported, or for them to leave on their own accord due to the procedures, the nature of the dealings and the bad conditions inside those centers.
