A Russian military delegation visited the city of Qamishli and Heik at the Qamishli International Airport, which is under the control of the Syrian government, as a delegation of Kurdish units arrived in Damascus.

A Russian military delegation arrived late on Friday at Qamishli International Airport, according to Sputnik news agency.

The agency said that “the Russian delegation came on a mission aimed at mediating between the Syrian government and the Syria Democratic Forces (SDF), to avoid the loss of new territory for the benefit of the Turkish army”.

Damascus has yet to announce the arrival of the SDF delegation to Damascus.

On the ground, Turkish forces are still in the vicinity of the cities of Tel Abyad and Ras Al Ain and have not been able to enter the depth of cities, despite repeated declarations by the opposition media that the troops arrived in the heart of the city of Tel Abyad.

Last night, a car bomb exploded near an ISIS prison in Ghweiran district in the Syrian province of Hasakah.

The official Syrian television said that after the car bomb explosion was heavy shooting around the central prison in Hasakah, pointing out that the prison includes thousands of dangerous elements of ISIS.
