Politico: Residents of Europe and Canada don’t consider the United States a trusted ally
A poll conducted by Public First found that a large percentage of the population of Canada, Germany, France, and Britain don’t consider the United States a reliable ally.
According to Politico, 57% of Canadians, 50% of Germans, 44% of French, and 39% of Britons don’t consider Washington a reliable ally.
Politico pointed out that the largest percentage of people who rate the characteristics of a partnership in the United States favorably is in Britain, where this index is 35%.
It also confirmed that there has been a marked growth in the negative perception of the United States as an ally over the past year.
