Maariv poll: Majority of Israelis support settlement with Lebanon
A poll conducted by the Israeli Maariv newspaper confirmed that there is a majority in the Israeli public that supports a settlement with Lebanon.
The poll showed that 57% support efforts to reach a settlement, while 32% believe that the ground operation should be expanded, while 11% responded that they don’t know.
Many Israeli officials are calling on Netanyahu to stop the war and start a settlement, given the deterioration of the Israeli home front and the state of exhaustion that Israel is experiencing.
In this context, reserve Major General in the Israeli army, Noam Tivon, said earlier, “The rain has started to fall and we know Lebanon in the winter… We must move towards a settlement”.
