The Maariv newspaper confirmed that Hezbollah’s drone attack on the Golani Brigade’s training base in Binyamina, south of Haifa, which it described as the “drone disaster,” left behind a feeling of severe pain, helplessness, and frustration.

Maariv raised a question about the capabilities of the Israeli army in the face of Hezbollah operations, saying, “How can a smart, modern army equipped with the best multi-layered air defense system in the world, with the best missiles and aircraft, and more, be helpless in the face of drones?”

Maariv stressed that the failure to intercept Hezbollah’s march is in fact a direct continuation of the failure of October 7, adding that its a failure of mental rigidity, arrogance and ignoring reality based on the illusion that the enemy is deterred and will not dare, and that everything is fine.

On October 13, Hezbollah carried out an attack by launching a squadron of drones at a training camp for the Golani Brigade in Binyamina, south of Haifa.

Hezbollah confirmed that this operation came within the framework of the “Khaybar” series of operations, and the call “We are at your service, Nasrallah,” and in response to the Israeli attacks, especially on Al Nuwairi and Al Basta in the Lebanese capital Beirut and other regions, and in response to the massacres committed by Israel.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority confirmed that the drone that hit the military base bypassed the air defenses, arriving without being detected or observed.

The Israeli army admitted that at least 4 soldiers were killed, while the Israeli media reported dozens of injuries, including serious cases.

Hezbollah has documented the operation in scenes shown by its own war media.
