Sources from Libya’s parliamentary investigative committee said that investigations into the killing of Saif al Islam Gaddafi revealed preliminary data indicating that 19 bullets were found in his body.

The sources also explained that the guards left his residence about an hour and a half before the assassination was carried out, which raises questions about the circumstances of the incident.

According to the technical information and approved reports, the committee set the time of death at 5:57 pm (local time).

Investigations also indicated that his personal phone was found in the possession of his companion, Ahmed al Ajmi al Atari, without clarifying the reasons so far.

It also showed that the surveillance cameras in the house were working normally and were linked to the phone of a person who lives outside the city of Zintan and is believed to be close to him, which is still under investigation.

Gaddafi’s family announced his death on February 3 after he was shot inside his home in the city of Zintan by unknown gunmen, in an incident that sparked widespread reactions inside and outside Libya.

For its part, the Public Prosecution in Tripoli opened an official investigation to find out who was responsible and the motives of the operation, while calling on its legal team to speed up the disclosure of the truth and deal with the case with full objectivity.
