According to the French newspaper, Ukraine is waging an existential battle against an enemy four times its size, at a time when it is suffering from population bleeding.

The continued departure of mothers and children to other countries for fear of their lives will put Ukraine in a difficult situation in the following years.

This situation will lead to a deficit among Ukrainian men and will affect the country’s demographic composition.

A large percentage of female migrants are thinking about settling permanently outside Ukraine, where there are prospects for integration and a safe life.

Ukraine’s population had decreased about 10 million over the past three decades, and since the war the bleeding continues at a very rapid pace.

According to recent statistics, fertility rate in Ukraine has already decreased to 1.2 children per woman in 2021, which is a figure far from the normal rate of 2.15 per woman, and according to experts the rate will decline, due to the ongoing war by 0.7% in 2023.
