Jordan seeks an explanation for an “ambiguous” term in Trump resolution on transfer the US embassy in Israel to Jerusalem
Jordan recently requested an explanation from the US administration for a term in President Donald Trump’s speech and his decision to transfer his country’s embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, which is related to the Jordanian role in the custodianship of endowments in Jerusalem.
According to media resources, Jordan intended to ignore the phrase and not to inquire about it over the past period post the US decision for fear of getting involved in a binding and hasty interpretation.
Jordan wants to increase the level of communication with officials in Trump’s administration to verify the US interpretation of the term referred to.
The text and notes of Trump’s resolution states that the United States supports the role for Jordan and other parties in the care of the holy sites”.
Officials and politicians pointed out that the Jordanians wanted today to know the identity of the “other parties” that Trump referred to in the document of US transferring their embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
