Jerusalem Post: Hezbollah wasn’t defeated and is regaining its activity
As the people of southern Lebanon continue to return to their villages on the border with occupied Palestine, for the second day after the expiry of the 60-day deadline for the withdrawal of the Israeli army, the Jerusalem Post newspaper confirmed that Hezbollah hasn’t been defeated.
The Israeli newspaper believed that Hezbollah’s goal is to maintain calm and show that the ceasefire agreement is achieving something, claiming that Hezbollah’s threats are supposed to be reduced.
But at the same time, Hezbollah wasn’t defeated, like Hamas in the Gaza Strip, but rather that it’s regaining its activity, the Jerusalem Post continued.
In the same context, the head of the northern settlement council of Metula, David Azoulay, expressed his dissatisfaction with the ceasefire agreement in Lebanon, describing it as “bad for Israel”, as he saw that the head of the government of Benjamin Netanyahu, “signed a surrender agreement in exchange for Hezbollah, which will return”.
Azoulay pointed out that the residents of southern Lebanon, in Kfar Kila, Adaisseh, Khiyam and other southern villages, will return, and they are the same ones who will restore their homes, grow stronger again, and implement October 7 in the north.
Since Sunday, with the return of the Lebanese to their villages and towns, similar Israeli comments have been issued, expressing displeasure at the scenes that showed the returning southerners adhering to the resistance.
