Israeli army announce killing the new appointed senior officer
The Israeli army announced Tuesday morning that it had successfully killed Ali Shadmani, commander of Iran’s Khatam al Anbia headquarters, in an operation carried out the previous night in the capital, Tehran.
The Israeli army stated that the operation was based on accurate intelligence, and that a populated headquarters in the heart of Tehran was targeted by the bombing, resulting in Shadmani’s death.
Ali Shadmani is considered one of Iran’s highest-ranking military commanders and is very close to Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.
It’s noteworthy that he was appointed the new head of the Khatam al Anbia headquarters just four days ago, replacing the previous commander who was killed in a previous attack.
The Khatam al Anbia Headquarters is an integral part of Iran’s air defense forces, overseeing ground defense operations for Iranian military aircraft and coordinating joint operations within the armed forces.
Prior to that, former commander Gholam Ali Rashid was killed, along with two other prominent nuclear scientists, in Israeli airstrikes early Friday morning, according to Iranian media reports.
Israel has previously carried out assassinations of other senior commanders, including Revolutionary Guard Commander Hossein Salami and Army Chief of Staff Mohammad Bagheri, who were both killed in similar airstrikes.
