Handelsblatt: Israel signs digital cooperation agreement with Germany to establish cyber dome

The German business newspaper, Handelsblatt reported that Germany signed an agreement with Israel to create a cyber dome aim to intercept cyber-attacks.

German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu signed an agreement on joint security cooperation, which includes the creation of a German “Cyber Dome” to repel cyberattacks, as the agreement were signed during the German minister’s two-day visit to Israel.

Germany and Israel intend to significantly expand cooperation in the face of digital threats… German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have signed a security agreement in this regard, which provides, among other things, for the development of the so-called Cyber Dome in Germany.

The German newspaper noted that the new system will automatically detect and counter cyberattacks and attacks using drones.

The agreement provides for close integration of German and Israeli cybersecurity capabilities.
