Haaretz: There is no burning or beheading of children…and Netanyahu lied to the US president

Haaretz newspaper refuted the allegations promoted by the Israeli government about the beheading of Israeli children and burning their bodies during the Hamas attack on the Gaza Strip settlements last October 7, stressing that this story is incorrect and has no basis in reality.
The investigation stated that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu promoted these lies in his meetings with US President Joe Biden and his Secretary of State, Antony Blinken.
Haaretz’s investigation addressed the narratives promoted by government institutions and senior officials in Israel since October 7.
Haaretz said that what happened that day led to the spread of horror stories, none of which happened in reality.
Israel relied largely in justifying its devastating war on the Gaza Strip on these allegations, which the investigative investigation revealed to be untrue.
Haaretz said that Hamas members “brutally killed about 1,200 people, most of them unarmed civilians, and kidnapped about 240 civilians and soldiers, including adults, children, and women,” but it refuted rumors promoted by the Israeli government that dozens of headless children’s bodies were found.
Haaretz pointed out that such a description appeared in a report by the Israel 24 network, “where one of the correspondents said that one of the field commanders told her that at least 40 children were killed, and that the terrorists beheaded some of them”.
Haaretz added, “Israel 24 reported that the reports of atrocities and the estimate of the numbers were based on the testimonies of officers who transported the bodies in the surrounding settlements, and were collected during a tour of foreign journalists conducted by the Israeli army spokesman 4 days after the outbreak of the war”.
Haaretz continued, “Similar numbers were also repeated in the testimonies of members of the Israeli rescue teams, and this description was later transmitted on social media”.
Haaretz also pointed out that sometimes the story is changed to the bodies of burned children or the bodies of children hanging on a rope, for example, the official channel of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the testimony of Lieutenant Colonel Golan Vach from the Home Front Command, which stated that the burned bodies of 8 children were found in a house”.
Haaretz added, “The account affiliated with the Prime Minister’s Office on the Antony Blinken”.
However, Haaretz investigation concluded that these descriptions are actually incorrect, and explained in this context that death toll figures from the National Insurance Institute and information collected from the killing scene, from settlement leaders and the police, show different killings.
To this day, there is no known scene in which children from several families were discovered killed together.
This indicates that Netanyahu’s description in his conversation with US President Joe Biden that Hamas took dozens of children, tied them up, burned them, and executed them does not completely match the realistic picture.
Haaretz added, “A video was circulated on social media claiming to depict the murder of a pregnant woman, while the truth is that it wasn’t filmed in Israel at all”.
Many of the terrifying rumors are due to information announced by the ZAKA organization, and after verifying the falsity of this information, it responded that its volunteers aren’t experts and do not have professional tools to identify the dead person, his age, or the method of killing him, while the organization said it relied on information from eyewitnesses.
