The Israeli Haaretz newspaper said that the fatal incident that took place in the northern Gaza Strip the day before, Thursday, in reference to the martyrdom of more than 100 Palestinians in what became known as the “flour massacre,” whether intentional or not, could change the course of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas for the 148th day in a row.

Haaretz reported that the Israeli explanations for what happened were delayed by 10 hours and it’s doubtful that they will convince anyone.

Haaretz added that what she described as Thursday’s horrors would inflame the situation in other arenas, such as the West Bank.

Haaretz said that Israel may face a comprehensive and more insistent international demand for a ceasefire.

It’s noteworthy that more than 100 Palestinians were martyred and about 800 were injured in the “flour massacre” in the northern Gaza Strip the day before Thursday, after the Israeli forces targeted them while they were gathering to obtain aid at the Nabulsi roundabout.

The massacre occurred in the northern Gaza Strip, which is facing famine under the Israeli siege, with continued reports of children dying as a result of drought and malnutrition.

Since the seventh of last October, Israel has been waging a devastating war on the Gaza Strip that has left tens of thousands of civilian victims, most of them children and women, in addition to an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe and massive destruction of infrastructure, which led to Israel appearing before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing Genocide.
