Erdogan: I will expose the details of Khashoggi’s disappearance this Tuesday

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan promised on Sunday to reveal “the whole truth” about the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, saying he would make a new statement on the issue next week.
“We are looking for justice here and it will be achieved in the full truth, not through some normal steps, but in uncovering the whole truth”, Erdogan said.
“We have confirmed that we will reveal the circumstances of Khashoggi’s disappearance”, Erdogan said during the inauguration of the Istanbul subway.
“I will explain the details of Khashoggi’s disappearance next Tuesday during the parliamentary bloc meeting of my party”.
“Why are 15 people coming to Turkey and why 18 have been arrested in Saudi Arabia?
That should be explained in detail”, Erdogan said.
Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) said on Saturday it was conducting an independent inquiry into the killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi in his consulate in Istanbul.
A Saudi official was quoted by Reuters as saying on Sunday that the Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was killed at the Saudi consulate in Istanbul on October 2.
The Saudi official said the group of 15 sent to meet Khashoggi threatened to anesthetize him and kidnap him before he was killed in a fight when he resisted.
While a senior Turkish official is likely to know the fate of Khashoggi’s body not long ago, pointing out that the search is still concentrated in Yalova and Belgrade forest area.
