Details of a 15-point US document that draws the end of the war with Iran
Israeli Channel 12 revealed on Tuesday that the United States is preparing a 15-point document aimed at ending the war with Iran, including a month-long ceasefire, during which a framework agreement similar to previous understandings in Gaza and Lebanon is being negotiated.
According to informed sources quoted by Channel 12, Jared Kushner, the son-in-law of US President Donald Trump, is working with US envoy Steve Witkoff to formulate a mechanism to end the conflict through this document.
The sources explained that the plan is based on a month-long ceasefire, during which negotiation channels will be opened to reach a comprehensive agreement, with strict restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program and strict additional conditions.
Despite doubts about Tehran’s possible approval, the sources said Israel is concerned that the United States will push for a general framework agreement, with technical details deferred to later stages.
According to the 15-point that included in the document are:
- A month-long ceasefire;
- Dismantling Iran’s accumulated nuclear capabilities;
- Iran’s commitment to never seek to acquire a nuclear weapon;
- Stop any enrichment of nuclear material on Iranian soil;
- Deliver all enriched material to the IAEA within an agreed timetable;
- Decommissioning and destroying the facilities of Natanz, Isfahan and Fordow;
- Provide the IAEA with full access to all information inside Iran;
- Iran abandoning the approach of its proxies in the region;
- Effectively stop funding and arming these arms;
- Ensuring that the Strait of Hormuz remains open as a free sea lane;
- Discuss the Iranian missiles issue later, with restrictions on the number and range;
- Limiting the use of Iran’s military capabilities within the framework of self-defense;
- Lifting all sanctions imposed on Iran;
- Providing support for the development of a civil nuclear project in Bushehr to produce electricity;
- Abolish the “Snapback” mechanism for automatic re-imposition of sanctions.
This development comes at a time when the military escalation between the two parties continues, with the US military announcing the destruction of thousands of military targets inside Iran, in exchange for Tehran’s continued firing of missiles and drones.
The US move reflects an attempt to combine military pressure with the opening of a negotiating window, amid questions about Iran’s willingness to accept these conditions, and the extent to which Washington can ensure that all parties comply.
