Der Spiegel: Ukraine requests more than 800 reconnaissance drones from a German company
The Der Spiegel magazine reported that Ukraine had requested more than 800 Vector reconnaissance drones from Quantum Systems.
Der Spiegel pointed out that the company’s director, Florian Seibel, visited Ukraine last week with the German Deputy Chancellor for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Robert Habeck.
Seibel said that Kiev expressed interest in purchasing 812 drones, and submitted a request to the Ukraine headquarters in the German Ministry of Defense.
It’s noteworthy that the German company Quantum Systems opened a factory and design center in Ukraine.
The company is scheduled to invest up to 6 million euros in production capabilities in Ukraine over the next two years.
Currently, the company’s maintenance center operates in Ukraine, which maintains drones, trains experts specialized in using them, and supervises logistical affairs.
