Bloomberg: The Iranian response tests the efficiency of the US-backed Israeli air defenses

Bloomberg confirmed that the Iranian response to the Israeli occupation’s targeting of the Iranian consulate in Damascus is testing the limits of the Israeli air defenses supported by the United States, by launching dozens of drones and missiles towards Israel.

Bloomberg quoted a former US intelligence official, Iran is carefully monitoring Israeli and US reactions to assess the efficiency of its technology compared to Western tactics, and may benefit from this in developing its future military capabilities and supporting its allies.

After the Iranian response, Israeli media pointed out the importance of confronting Iranian threats, while Israel described the response as a “heavy public insult,” which makes it take Iranian threats more seriously.

The Israeli media confirmed the successes achieved by Iran in its operation, noting its boldness and its firepower and practical ability to confront the challenges.

Israel is developing its defense systems in cooperation with the United States, including the “Arrow” system and “David’s Sling” to intercept missiles, in addition to the US “Patriot” system used to shoot down drones.

The Israeli “Iron Dome” system was developed for Israel with the aim of confronting short-range threats, while Israel is working to develop the “Iron Beam” system for interception using laser technology.

The most prominent Iranian drones include the “Mohajer,” which has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and a flight altitude of up to 5,500 meters, with the ability to carry guided missiles.

While the “Fitras” drone has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers, with the ability to fly for 30 hours and carry 4 missiles.

The “Arch” drone has a range of 2,000 kilometers and can fly up to an altitude of 3,700 meters, with its ability to carry out air defense missions.

Iran also possesses the “Gaza” drone with a range of 2,000 kilometers and the ability to fly for 35 hours and carrying 13 missiles, in addition to the “Shahid 129” drone with a range of up to 1,700 kilometers and the ability to fly for 24 hours and carrying 8 missiles.

Tehran owns a “Shahid 136” with a range of up to 2,500 kilometers.

The Shahid drones are suicide drones that was used in the Iranian response to Israeli army bases, and achieved accurate hits and performed its missions successfully.

Iran has a variety of missiles, including missiles that have the ability to reach Israel.

Among these missiles, the “Sejil” missile comes with a range that ranges between 2,000 and 2,500 kilometers, and a speed that ranges between Mach 12 and 14.

The Iranian lineup also includes missiles such as the “Khorramshahr 4,” which has a range of up to 2,000 kilometers and a speed of Mach 16 outside the atmosphere, and Mach 8 inside it.

In second place comes the “Imad” missile, with a range of 2,000 kilometers and a speed of Mach 7.2, and the “Shehab 3” missile, which also has a range of 2,000 kilometers, and a speed of Mach 7.

The Iranian arsenal also includes missiles such as the “Qadr”, which has a range of 1,950 kilometers and a speed of Mach 9, and the “Paveh” missile, which has a range of 1,950 kilometers and a speed that ranges between 600 and 900 kilometers per hour.

In addition, the range of the “Fattah 2” and “Qasim” missiles exceeds 1,400 kilometers and their speed reaches Mach 5, while the range of the Khaybar missile exceeds 1,450 kilometers at a speed of up to 5,000 kilometers per hour.
