Ankara: We reject the slanders of Israeli officials against President Erdogan
The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed its complete rejection of the slander and allegations made by some Israeli officials against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which are baseless.
This came in a statement issued by the Turkish Foreign Ministry, at dawn on Sunday, in which it responded to the statements of some Israeli officials against Türkiye and its President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in this regard, “We categorically reject the slander and allegations made by some Israeli officials against President Erdogan, which are baseless”.
The statement stressed that some Israeli officials who cannot bear to hear the facts are seeking, through distortion and slander, to change the agenda in the hope of covering up the brutal massacre targeting Palestinian civilians in Gaza, and that these efforts are yielding results”.
The statement added, “The targeting of the United Nations, its Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, and President Erdogan by these Israeli officials who committed a crime against humanity in front of the eyes of the whole world and who cannot even bear criticism and denunciation, is clear evidence of the impotence into which they have fallen”.
The statement continued, “We return the accusation of anti-Semitism, slander and insults by Israeli officials against our president and our country to them in the same way”.
He added, “Unlike many countries that support Israel unconditionally today, it’s known to everyone that Türkiye’s record on this issue (anti-Semitism) is clean and pure”.
The statement pointed out that the truth recognized by all historians is that Türkiye has been a safe haven for everyone who has been persecuted throughout history, including Jews.
The statement called on the Israeli authorities to urgently respond to calls for a ceasefire in order to end the barbarism that aims to eliminate the entire population of Gaza.
