A truce in Idlib and northern Hama with a Turkish appeal
The Syrian army has decided to stop its military operations in the villages of Hama and Idlib in compliance with the agreements signed by the Russian guarantor, who received a “request” from Ankara to convince the Syrian government of a truce that constitutes a last chance for Turkey to implement its obligations under the Sochi agreement, in order to reopen the international route between the cities of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia.
The sources revealed that the agreement reached on the truce came after a “request” submitted by Turkey to Russia to persuade the Syrian government to stop the military operations temporarily to give the opportunity to persuade Turkey to convince armed groups to withdraw from the demilitarized zone and the opening of international roads in accordance with the agreement “Sochi”.
