Two senior generals in the US military have been dismissed following the Pentagon’s announced dismissing General Randy George from his position as Chief of Staff of the US Army and send him to retirement.

The two generals are Major General David Hodne, who took over the Army’s training and transformation leadership last October, and Major General William Green Jr., the commander of US Army Morale Support.

In a related context, White House officials said that there are ongoing assessments regarding the departure of US Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll from his post soon.

The US press reported that disagreements broke out between Defense Secretary Hegseth and Driscoll over several issues, most notably the promotion of four officers to the rank of brigadier general.

Earlier on Friday, Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell announced that the “Chief of Army Staff,” General Randy George, would retire from his post immediately.

Parnell wrote on X, that General George will retire as of now!

“The Pentagon expresses its gratitude to General George for decades of service to our country,” Parnell added.

The Chief of Staff of the Army corresponds to the post of Chief of Staff of the Ground Forces in many countries of the world, and is subordinate to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (the highest military position in the United States), which includes all other military branches, including the Navy, Air Force, and others.
