According to US sources, the US aircraft carrier USS. George W. Bush has begun its movement towards the Middle East, as part of strengthening the US military presence in the face of escalation with Iran.

The carrier is the flagship in the Bush strike group and has been ordered to move to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), which includes the Middle East and parts of Asia, which is responsible for US military operations against Iran in the ongoing war.

The sources said that the carrier’s strike group completed intensive training that showed its readiness to deploy and participate in large-scale combat operations before arriving in the area.

The George W. Bush aircraft carrier is expected to join US and Israeli forces currently deployed near Iran, including the aircraft carriers Gerald R. Ford and Abraham Lincoln, to bolster naval power and air capabilities in the face of military escalation with Tehran.

The move comes as part of a series of US military reinforcements in the eastern Mediterranean and the Gulf, at a time when confrontations and exchanges of strikes between the United States and Iran continue, in an attempt to increase military pressure and impose balance in the region.
