Iranian Armed Forces Spokesman: Iran will set conditions for ending the war
The spokesman for Iran’s armed forces confirmed that Tehran intends to impose its own conditions to end the war, stressing that his country considers itself in a position of strength during the ongoing confrontation.
In remarks carried by Iranian media, Brigadier General Abolfazl Shakarji explained that Iran, as the victor, will set the conditions for ending the war, adding that adversaries will eventually be forced to accept these conditions.
In an escalatory tone, the Iranian official sent a message to the opposing parties in which he called on them to stay away from illusions, stressing that the facts on the ground are different from the perceptions promoted in the media.
He also pointed out that the military operations currently being carried out by Iran represent the minimum of its capabilities, indicating the possibility of a greater escalation during the next phase if the confrontation continues.
Iranian forces, especially in the navy and the air-space force, continue to establish strong control over the Strait of Hormuz, as attacks on adversary positions in the region continue, the spokesman said.
These statements come in light of an ongoing military escalation, as the confrontation has entered a more complex phase, amid the absence of clear indications that a truce is imminent, at a time when Tehran stresses that it won’t accept any settlement that doesn’t take into account its conditions and strategic interests.
