Washington approves $185 million sale of military equipment to Ukraine

The United States has approved a potential deal to sell $185 million worth of military equipment and spare parts to Ukraine, according to a statement issued by the Security Cooperation Agency, associated with the Pentagon, on Friday, on the potential deal.

The statement noted that the US State Department approved the potential sale of Class IX spare parts and related equipment to Ukraine, explaining that the estimated cost of the sale is $185 million.

“Ukraine urgently needs to strengthen its domestic capabilities in order to maintain high operating rates for the vehicles and weapons systems supplied by the United States,” the statement added.

These spare parts and equipment will improve Ukraine’s logistical capabilities and strengthen its position on the battlefield, the statement said.
