The largest Ukrainian attack since the start of the war with hundreds of drones targeted several regions in Russia
The Russian army announced the downing of dozens of Ukrainian drones, as Russia’s defense ministry announced Monday that air defenses shot down 251 Ukrainian drones overnight, in a Ukrainian attack that is among the largest since Moscow began its military operation more than three years ago.
“Last night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 251 Ukrainian drones,” the Russian defense ministry wrote on Telegram.
The Russian defense ministry noted that Russian forces shot down 40 drones over the Crimean Peninsula, which Russia annexed in 2014, in addition to 62 over the Black Sea.
Dozens of additional drones were shot down over the Kursk and Belgorod regions, among others, according to the ministry.
