Iran announces the arrest of 20 spies working for the Israeli Mossad and threatens strict sentences
Iranian judiciary spokesman Asghar Jahangir announced that the Ministry of Intelligence has so far arrested 20 spies affiliated with the Israeli Mossad in Tehran and several other provinces.
Jahangir explained that the detainees’ cases are being monitored under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, emphasizing that the judiciary will show no leniency toward spies and agents of the Israeli entity, and that it will issue firm sentences against them to set an example to all.
Days ago, Iranian judicial authorities announced the execution of a spy who passed information about an Iranian nuclear scientist to the Israeli Mossad.
The head of Iran’s judiciary, Gholam Hossein Mohseni Ejei, stressed that Iran’s judiciary will deal with spies firmly and in accordance with the law and justice.
