The Houthis announces targeting Ben Gurion Airport with a ballistic missile and confirms success

The Yemeni Ansar Allah group (Houthis) announced on Tuesday evening that it had bombed Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv with a “Palestine 2” hypersonic ballistic missile, and that the operation “successfully achieved its goal”.
This came in a televised statement read by the group’s military spokesman, Yahya Saree.
The statement said, “The missile force of the Yemeni Armed Forces (Houthis) carried out a qualitative military operation targeting Lod Airport (Ben Gurion) in the occupied Jaffa region, using a Palestine 2 hypersonic ballistic missile”.
He added, “The operation successfully achieved its goal, causing millions to rush to shelters and bringing airport operations to a standstill”.
He pointed out that this operation is a “victory for the oppressed Palestinian people and a response to the genocide committed by the Zionist enemy against our brothers in the Gaza Strip”.
He added, “Yemen, with its people, leadership, and army, is continuing its operations in support of the oppressed and starving Palestinian people, in support of their steadfast resistance, and in bolstering their steadfastness, as they face this siege and aggression alone, without support or backing”.
Earlier Tuesday evening, the Israeli military announced that it had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen, setting off air raid sirens in the greater Tel Aviv area and Jerusalem, sending millions into shelters.
