An Israeli minister calls to assassinate the Syrian president

According to Israeli media, the recent Israeli strikes in Syria aim to prevent regime forces from advancing toward the Druze stronghold of Sweida.

These tensions come amid secret diplomatic efforts to reach a security agreement between Israel and the Syrian administration.

According to multiple sources, a Syrian official recently visited the Knesset, while secret meetings were held between senior officials from both countries in Azerbaijan.

Syrian media also reported that Israeli National Security Council Chief Tzachi Hanegbi met with Ahmed al Sharaa in the United Arab Emirates, a report that hasn’t been confirmed by Israel.
