Ali Shamkhani, an advisor to Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, sustained severe injuries in Israeli airstrikes targeting Tehran a few days ago, forcing doctors to amputate his entire left leg, according to Iranian medical sources.

Medical authorities said on Monday that Shamkhani’s health condition had become relatively stable after intensive treatment over the past few days.

Although doctors were able to control most of the injuries resulting from the explosion, complications affecting his internal organs remain life-threatening, and a definitive assessment of his health condition cannot yet be made.

However, there are signs of gradual improvement in his treatment.

This announcement comes amid official ambiguity surrounding the details of the attack targeting Shamkhani, a prominent security and military figure in the Iranian regime.

Shamkhani served as Secretary of the National Security Council for years, is considered close to the highest levels of Tehran’s inner circles, and serves as a direct advisor to the Supreme Leader.

In a related development, the Iranian Revolutionary Guards confirmed on Sunday the deaths of seven of its prominent aerospace force commanders during the Israeli airstrikes that took place early Friday morning.

The Guards’ statement listed the names of those killed, including Major General Ali Hajizadeh, Mahmoud Bagheri, Davoud Sheikhian, Mohammad Bagher Taherpour, Mansour Safarpour, Masoud Tayeb, Khosrow Hassani, and Javad Jarsarra.

Tasnim News Agency also announced the killing of four members of the Revolutionary Guard Corps in South Khorasan Province, namely Younes Nofresti, Morteza Ebrahimi Kareshk, Mehdi Ziba, and Esmail Nadi, in an Israeli attack.

In other developments, Iranian state television reported the deaths of two senior army officers, Major General Gholamreza Mahraby and Major General Mehdi Rabbani.

For its part, Israel confirmed that its airstrikes inside Iran resulted in the deaths of more than 20 prominent Iranian commanders, including Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Revolutionary Guard Commander Hossein Salami, and Commander of the Guard’s Aerospace Force Amir Ali Hajizadeh, along with nine Iranian nuclear scientists.
