Israel attacks Iran
Israel announced that its forces had launched Operation “Rising Lion” and dozens of aircraft carried out an opening strike in the heart of Iran.
According to Israeli source, “This isn’t a one-day attack… We plan to launch multiple rounds of attacks on Iran”.
The Israeli source added, “The Israeli government saw an opportunity to carry out this attack militarily and diplomatically”.
Channel 13 quoted a senior Israeli official as saying, “Israel is preparing for several days of fighting”.
Iranian Fars News Agency announced that the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, was among who got killed after an airstrike on a neighborhood housing senior commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Iranian state television also announced on Friday that the Commander of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, was killed in the latest Israeli attack against the country.
Iranian state television said, “The Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, was martyred in the Israeli aggression”.
The Commander of the Revolutionary Guard, Hossein Salami, was also killed, along with a number of military commanders and nuclear scientists, as a result of the Israeli strike that targeted several sites in Iran.
Iranian state television said on Friday that “the Commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard was martyred after the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guard in Tehran was attacked by Israel”.
